A Magical Wedding Day at The Addison Grove in Dripping Springs, Tx

Austin and Lauraly Crouch Wedding Day at The Addison Grove in Dripping Spring, Tx //

Austin and Lauraly gave us the opportunity to film their special day and it’s one we won’t soon forget. Their day has to be one of the most unique, detail-oriented, and magical wedding days we have been a part of. The bridesmaids didn’t have traditional bouquets but instead had books with a flower attached. Their best bud, Bosco, has his own attendant whose sole purpose was to make sure HE had the best day. Being dog people, we were really stoked on that one. One thing that can’t be overlooked is Austin’s "Hand of the Queen” brooch that Lauraly bestowed upon him during their first look that gave us all the Game of Throne vibes. How can I forget her CROWN!?

Austin and Lauraly had so much energy during their first dance that set the whole mood for the rest of the reception (they danced to a personal favorite of mine, “I love you Baby” - Frankie Vallie). This was followed up by some incredible speeches and a performance by Lauraly herself. In her own words, she said, “We all know I like to hear myself talk.”

Why do you want to capture your wedding on video?

So we can have a record of, and re-live, all the wonderful memories for years to come as well as hopefully share it with our children one day.

Why did you pick us?

Aside from being drawn to your personal film style, we just felt after our video chat that we all just vibed really well. You and your wife seem like such cool people that we would actually want to hang out with. You have excellent taste in tv shows (like us) and you're a dog lover!

You guys… What do you do? How do you spend your time together? What is important in life to you?

Well, we eat...a lot lol! In all seriousness, we love to travel when we can find the time, watch cheesy 90's flicks, go to concerts and binge good tv shows. We're all about the creative arts, but our real passion is checking out new restaurants or grabbing a bite an old favorite.

The proposal...

Nine (and multiples of nine) are Lauraly's favorite number, so Austin wanted to make sure to take that into account when choosing a date to propose. He wanted to keep it simple and intimate because he knew he would be nervous. So, he waited for her to get home from work. They had a cute "thing" they liked to do, where they would get all their animals riled up by saying "jump on da bed!", and would all do so together. On this particular night, he quickly fell off the bed to one knee, presenting the ring, but no words coming out of his mouth, lol. (obviously the nerves) She was confused at first but knew what was going on, and he eventually got a yes, a smile, and a hug out of her. Then they went to go eat hamburgers to celebrate.

The Addison Grove? Why this place over everywhere else?:

We knew from the beginning that we wanted a whimsical outdoor setting that would complement our bohemian style. From looking at the pictures online, we had a strong sense that The Addison Grove was the one. And, sure enough, the moment we set foot on the property we knew it was. Something about the energy and the easy-going nature of the people who gave us our tour sealed the deal for us. Another thing we really enjoyed seeing were the two longhorns they have on the property -- Austin's dad is a big Longhorns fan!

What experience did you want to give your guests?:

We want it to be magical. We want people to really feel like we're all part of one big family. It's the small details and personal touches (like our remembrance table) we've included that we hope will help to capture that feeling.
